If something here is not covered, it is worth asking — the list grows from what people actually write in.

Ordering

How do I order from Zefeq?

Add what you want to your bag, then send it over on WhatsApp or by email and we will confirm the order and the delivery. Card checkout on the site is being finalised.

Where does Zefeq ship?

Across the GCC — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman — and to the United Kingdom, Germany and the rest of the EU, and the United States.

Why is the price different in the US or the UK?

Because prices are set for each market rather than converted. The UK figure includes 20% VAT and the German one 19%, both of which the law requires to be shown in the displayed price, while the US figure excludes sales tax because that is added at checkout there.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Tabby and Tamara for instalments, Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, and cash on delivery inside the UAE. Card checkout on the site is being finalised, so for now orders are confirmed over WhatsApp or email.

Choosing a perfume

What is the best perfume to buy in the UAE?

There is no single answer, because “best” depends on what you want a perfume to do. The practical test is three questions: does it suit the heat, does it last long enough for your day, and can you smell it before you commit to a bottle? For Gulf heat, dry woody and musk scents hold up best — at Zefeq that means Ghaf, Misk and Matar. For evenings and winter, amber and spiced gourmands carry further: Samar and Qahwa.

Is Zefeq made in the UAE?

Yes. Zefeq is blended and bottled in the United Arab Emirates, and it says so on the front of every carton rather than in small type on the back. The Gulf has the highest fragrance spend per person in the world and direct access to the raw materials, so making perfume here is a credential.

How much does a Zefeq perfume cost?

Full bottles are AED 165 to AED 215 depending on the materials and the cap, which averages AED 188. Every scent also comes as a 20 ml Mini at AED 57 and a 5 ml Dot at AED 27. Use the currency selector at the top of any page to see the price in your market — those figures are set per market rather than converted.

What is the difference between the Atelier and the Majlis?

They are two ways of writing the same house. The Atelier holds five classical structures — a powdery floral, an aldehydic floral, a fougère, a chypre and a cologne — in a block of clear glass, named in English. The Majlis is named in Arabic and smells of things a Gulf childhood actually contains: rain, the ghaf tree, Arabic coffee, musk, the sea.

What is the difference between Eau de Parfum and Eau de Cologne?

Concentration. An Eau de Parfum carries roughly 15–20% fragrance oil and lasts most of a day; fourteen of the fifteen Zefeq scents are EDP. An Eau de Cologne runs nearer 3–5%, lasts three or four hours, and is meant to be used generously — which is why Cold Press, the one cologne in the range, comes in a 100 ml bottle at the lowest price in the range.

How long will Zefeq perfume last on skin?

Between five and twelve hours depending on the scent. Samar is the longest at nine to twelve hours, Ghaf and Qahwa run eight to ten, most of the range sits at six to nine, and Cold Press, being a cologne, is three to four by design. Heat shortens all of them; a cool room extends them.

Wearing and storing

Are Zefeq perfumes unisex?

All fifteen are written as fragrance families rather than for a gender. Some lean conventionally masculine in Gulf wear — Ghaf, Green Room, Barq — and some conventionally feminine — Soft Focus, May Harvest, Hilal — but nothing in the range is labelled for men or women.

How should I store perfume in the Gulf heat?

Away from light and away from heat. A closed drawer or the original carton is better than a bathroom shelf or a car. Heat breaks down the top notes first, which is why a bottle left in sunlight smells sharper and shorter after a few months.

How many sprays should I use?

Two for most of the range, at the pulse points. Samar and Ghaf are strong enough that two is already generous. Cold Press is a cologne and is meant to be used freely — four or five, reapplied after lunch.

Is Zefeq alcohol-free?

No. Zefeq fragrances are alcohol-based, as most Eau de Parfum is. There is no alcohol-free or oil-based line at present.
